"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope  through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time ( 1Peter 1:3-6) God you are so worthy to be given blessings, honor & praise for pouring out you gracious mercies to you humble servant.  To rise from the dead, so indescribable & uncomprehendable! Thanks to you alone for bestowing saving grace. Amen  WGN

December 6, 2015. I was watching President Barack Obama’s Oval Office Address regarding threat of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) [1], particularly in light of the recent shootings in San Bernardino, California. In this speech the President made a few statements concerning Islam of significance to Christians in general and to particularly to those into apologetics. One of the things President Obama pointed out was the San Bernardino perpetrators “had gone down the dark path of radicalization, embracing a perverted interpretation of Islam that calls for war against America and the West.” Later on the President made the qualification, ISIL does not speak for Islam. They are thugs and killers, part of a cult of death, and they account for a tiny fraction of more than a billion Muslims around the world—including millions of patriotic Muslim Americans who reject their hateful ideology. President Obama also said, Muslim leaders here and around the globe have to ...

I believe this sums up why anyone should think there is anything special about this season or any other season for that matter. Merry Christmas WGN

“There are no atheists in fox holes.” I suppose there is something to this statement, since desperate moments are catalyst for seeking solace in God. Prayer is the last refuge of a scoundrel. Yet, almost in the same breath, I can see how certain skeptics at death’s door may never think twice about preparing to meet their maker. Think Christopher Hitches, who held on to his atheism until the end. God’s existence never requires a unanimous belief amongst all human minds. But it is never the case that God makes it impossible for anyone to connect with Him. The Epistle to the Hebrews tells us that [God] is a rewarder of those who seek Him (Heb. 11:6b, NASB). God never hides Himself from those who want to know Him. On the flip side, God is never required to offer something extraordinary to those who persist upon skepticism despite all other good reasons to the contrary. A case in point is the fact of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. The witnesses to the resurrected Lord were far from dec...

Series of videos released by the Center for Medical Progress in attempts to expose Planned Parenthood in the illegal sale of aborted fetal tissue have certainly generated controversy, and it is chilling to think that such kinds of negotiations would even take place. CNN reports seven videos have been released. Eric Ferrero, Vice President of Communication, Planned Parenthood of America suggest the Center for Medical Progress has “close ties with organizations and individuals who have been linked to the firebombing of abortion clinics and threats to the physical safety of doctors who provide abortion” and their “real agenda” is “to ban abortion and limit women's access to reproductive health care at Planned Parenthood.” CNN also indicates that StemExpress, which “coordinates with clinics and hospitals to obtain human tissue and blood” has severed ties with Planned Parenthood. In spite of the damning videos, a few would contend Planned Parenthood has acted within the law. A Hu...

“Mommy, can I smash it with a hammer?” asked the boy. Mom, sees the roach, and says, “Yes, please do.” In the back of her mind she’s also thinking it’s time to call the pest control folks. If the “it” was the boy’s little sister, Mom’s answer would be “No, not ever!” Mom would then have to grapple how to help a child see the value of human life. What is it? I think this is the operative question in the abortion discussion.  Planned Parenthood counselor may say abortion is a legal and safe way to terminate a pregnancy, but what is it that is being terminated? What is the “it” inside the womb? My contention is that the “it” inside the womb is a human life. It is a living person at one stage of human development. That is the “it” inside the womb. This is the basis for the Pro-life resistance to abortion on demand as a means of birth control. Hank Hanegraaff indicates that, “The living baby in the mother’s womb is a human being because he or she is the product of human paren...
